About Julie

My favorite part about being a caregiver is listening to the amazing life stories of my clients. I'm nurturing by nature and enjoy making others feel seen and heard. I empathize with the frustration that can come as bodies and minds age, and I love finding ways to make my clients laugh and enjoy life. Currently I care for a wonderful 74yo battling her 4th type of cancer and take her to Dr appts. I can sense when she needs rest and TLC versus a day out, and we enjoy puzzles, cards, stories and fun adventures. I have extensive caregiving experience with cancer, broken hips, surgery recovery, blood clots, injections and other medical needs. My son had cancer at 12-13 and I cared for him on my own. Skills include companionship, meals, errands, laundry, outings, medications, special diets, appointments, bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, walking support and fall prevention. I like letting clients lead their day so they keep autonomy while I make sure their needs are met.
