Hello everyone, my name is Julie I've worked as a caregiver for over 10 years and with special needs now for over 6 years and have learned a lot in my time as a caregiver. I've worked with clients with Alzheimer's, dementia, special needs, and disabilities. Walking assistance and guidance assistance whether it is with a gait belt, Hoyer lift or wheelchair I'm very accustomed to as fall precautions are so important to be aware of. Hygiene is also so beneficial to individual's health and wellness. I've been trained and have worked with people who need assistance with; bathing, showering, dry baths, and bed baths as well. I've also worked in a nursing home in the activities department for a while so I'm no stranger to having fun with my clients. I enjoy playing games as well as taking walks together and even clients who are unable to walk enjoyed our time in nature. I care deeply for my clients and I have and always try to find ways to improve their lifestyles to make things easier.
Julie has changed my life in the best of ways since I found her last December. I have been my 90-year-old mother's FT care provider in my house for the past 5 years with no help except the occasional visit from an out-of-state brother. The conflict /stress was enormous, as I always struggled to balance my mother's needs with my own family's needs. A few times I went through the efforts of trying to find someone to help, but it didn't work out because the needs & schedule were variable, the caregiver unimpressive, or my mom didn't take to them...so I gave up. Julie has been incredible with being willing to work out a schedule with me and her other clients. I know how tough it is to do this & am immensely appreciative that she cares enough to try to meet everyone's needs. She's a kind and confident caregiver who understands elderly quirks,.and is comfortable with medical needs. Very prompt with communication, and perhaps most valuable to my situation is that she has no qualms about doing light housework if it looks like it needs to be done when my mom is napping, simply to help out / provide some relief. Julie is a rare gem.
