I am an Energetic, Friendly, Creative and Engaging Professional with 25+ years' work experience in childcare. I also have work experience in many other fields, including owning & operating a gourmet tea business. I am very involved in the community and often participate in volunteer work and events. I have worked in several preschools and daycares over the years, as well as having my own private in-home daycare for 6 years. I am a Master Teacher at the CLU preschool, however, the staff has been put on fourlough due to the COVID pandemic this past September. I obtained my Early Childhood certificate years ago and just recently earned a Bachelors degree from Cal Lutheran University in Organizational Leadership. I also have a certificate as a pastry chef. I have a yoga certificate and have been the yoga/music and movement teacher. I am married and have three wonderful kids, ages 20, 17 and 14. I am looking for part time work.

Julia was a Godsend for my holiday party. I didn't have much time to interview so I messaged back and fourth with a couple of sitters and requested to meet with Julia the day before the event. Unfortunately, I got pretty sick right before she came over so she met with my husband and assistant. He was immediately impressed with her experience working currently with preschool children and her willingness to pitch in right away. On the day of our event Julia was all hands on deck. She helped with gifts for guests, watching children, decorating and more! You name it Julia was ready and willing to take care of whatever needed to be done. During the party, Julia had lots of little babies to take care of and she did a GREAT job. Some of those little buggers were pretty wild and she was able to tame them down so that the parents could enjoy the festivities. I was pretty sad to hear that during the event Julia lost some gift cards and money that she had on her and I'm still hoping they will turn up but she was gracious and wonderful about the whole thing. Bottom line I would recommend her to anyone and I would hire her again if she would have us. lol. Thanks so much Julia for everything. I met Julia on Care.com :)
