About Julia

I'd describe my personality as friendly, conscientious, and outgoing. I like tutoring because it is fun to see how each individuals brain works, and to craft a new way for them to approach a subject or problem. It is rewarding to see someone leave a session believing in themselves more so than before. I'm looking for a job that allows me to provide meaningful and possibly ongoing tutoring relationships outside of normal working hours. This will help me stay sharp on previous subjects that I used to enjoy learning in grade school and college. I started tutoring when I was in my second year of college, usually in math or English subjects for my fellow classmates and coworkers. In my spare time, I like to hike, camp, spend time outdoors with my kids , eat new foods, Cook and bake. My skills include math (Algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, calculus), English (I have a lot of practice working on essays with people ) and science (chemistry, physics, biology).
