Provided in-home specialized care for my uncle who had ALS. Care included feeding, bathing, and numerous daily support needs given his condition. I carried out my responsibilities with extreme patience, empathy, and understanding of his terminal illness. Supported a client 24/7 for a week after having surgery. Job required creating schedule for medication, making sure client was taking medicine, routine walks, helping with bathroom, and getting in and out of bed. I provided a very safe and welcoming space for client to feel comfortable and supported.
