About Julia

I am a loving, caring and responsible caregiver excited to get to know you! I was a first grade teacher the past four years in San Francisc. It was an honor to be a mentor and twacher for over 75 students in the city. Growing up, I worked at a beach surf camp in Carpinteria every summer. Being able to play with kids all day on the beach was a dream job I will never forget. Additionally, I did volunteer work at a foundation in Medellín, Colombia called Ángeles de Medellín. At the foundation, our goal was to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children, single mothers, and Venezuelan refugees. There, I taught English and basic computer skills to the children, both local and Venezuelan refugees. I love to bring a fun attitude and energy whenever I'm around children. I sometimes like to think I'm a little kid at heart, and this is why I always connect well with them! It is always a priority of mine to create a safe and comfortable environment for the children I am taking care of.
