About Julia

Hello! I'm Julia and I am soon to be new to Ann Arbor. I just finished my Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from Boston University. My degree and previous experience has equipped me to care for children with varying developmental, physical and intellectual differences, and do so with the patience and compassion they deserve. I am comfortable and experienced working with children who use mobility aids, medical devices such as insulin pumps and oxygen cylinders, and children who are non-verbal and/or autistic. I have experience working with babies and children of all ages. I pride myself on being warm and loving with the kids I care for, and my ability to get on their levels to give them a fun atmosphere to learn, grow and be themselves, while also maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. I value a collaborative relationship with the parents that I work for to ensure that I can be an extension of them to maintain consistency in parenting styles and behavioral expectations.
