About Sydney

Sydney was hired as our full time nanny. She presented herself well and had excellent references, so we had very high hopes for long term success. Unfortunately, after a couple of months with us, her communication deteriorated, becoming at times unreachable and unresponsive for hours while on the clock and responsible for our children. When we brought this to her attention and gave her the chance to make change, her behavior worsened. She then began to call out sick repetitively, giving minimal to no notice, and with questionable excuses. Contracted duties unrelated to childcare were frequently neglected (and lied about). Ultimately, after not showing for a scheduled shift, she stopped responding to texts, calls and emails, and we were forced to terminate our relationship with her. At that time she was still in possession of our personal property, including car seats and personal belongings of the children. It was not until we threatened legal action that she finally returned the car seats - after a week of no response to requests for them to be returned. The other items were never returned to us. Sydney proved to be unprofessional and unreliable, and left us feeling very violated.
