My hope is to be an advocate for my clients. I will get to know your loved one and build a trusting relationship that allows me to make sure that what needs to be communicated to medical probiders and what their responses are, are clealy understood by your loved one and you. I've found that being an extra set of eyes and ears at a doctors appointment and providing on time and safe transportation to and from appointments is often a atressful and overwhelming aspect of care for clients and/or their families. In my experience with assisted living facilities and in home care, whether the person has family involved in their lives or not, making it to important appointments creates an often insurmountable issue leaving people unable to keep appointments and even more often, unsure of how to communicate their needs and desires to their medical care team.
