About Julia

I like working with kids because you get to make a positive impact; helping a child feel safe, supported, and happy makes the work deeply meaningful for me. Kids bring me a natural sense of joy and energy-even on tough days, kids have a way of making you smile with something silly or sweet. Lastly, I have a genuine interest in watching kids grow and learn. I love seeing the moment when something clicks for a child, it's like watching their world get a little bigger! I am studying Childhood Education at SUNY Oneonta and was a camp counselor the past two summers. It brings me such joy to be pursuing a career that enables me to make a difference in young people's lives! Childcare strong suits include positive reinforcement and calm communication to help children learn routines and express their feelings, Planning fun, screen-free activities that help children learn and stay active, (whether that be crafts or outdoor games), and following routines/schedules.
