About Julia

I would describe myself as observant, dedicated, and intentional. I have good attention to detail, listening, and connection skills. In my spare time I like to read, dance, and be with family & friends. I enjoy working with kids because I understand that the presence of a supportive adult can have a lasting positive impact on a developing child. I believe children are our future and that the environment they are raised in matters. I also enjoy celebrating growth. I formally began working with kids at age 19 after my freshman year of college. I began as an infant nanny and, in the past 5 years, have worked as a day camp counselor, as a house parent at a crisis childcare center, as a behavior technician with kids who have special needs, and as an intern in trauma-focused intervention. One thing you should know about me is that I am a student in SDSU's Master of Social Work Child Welfare program. I am looking for a reliable summer job that I could potentially carry into next year.
