I've been a Registered Nurse for close to 30 years. I retired from nursing 10 years ago to help care for my aging Mother until her passing. Shortly thereafter I started caring for husband when he developed Alzheimer's. I cared for him approximately 5 years until his passing 2. 5 years ago. Due to my own personal experience, I can totally empathize with those struggling with caring for their loved ones. I have a lot of compassion and knowledge. I am a great communicator and provide loving but professional support. 7 months ago I cared for an 89 yr old gentleman for six months until his passing. I assisted with meals, some very light housekeeping including laundry and medication management and toileting. I also provided transportation to appointments as needed. My most recent job I cared for an 80-year-old woman in early stages of Alzheimer's. I assisted with toileting and mobility issues. Did some light housekeeping and cooking. Cared for her for approximately two months.
