About Judie

hi! my name is JAR :) I am queer and nonbinary. I use they/them, or he/him pronouns I am on a journey towards self expression and embodiment, hoping to help others do the same through art, play, and somatics. because of my own experiences, I am passionate about advocating for our youth and those who are most vulnerable in society, going about my work with a trauma informed approach. I seek environments that also share these values. I have 4 years of experience using the DIR/Floortime model, which is centered around play and supporting a child's social and emotional wellbeing. my approach to care is rooted in giving others the space to feel comfortable in their own ways of existence, and allowing space for trust to be built. I believe that growth can only be cultivated with this sense of safety. I am a lifelong student, always looking to learn more with every experience. let me know if our values align!
