I started my career in homecare for over 10 years with a company in the downriver area and accepted a job with Angelas Hospice. I worked in the care center for a year and then transferred to homecare to help patients who needed help showering and bathing along with learning to be a companion as well. Prior to working for Angelas Hospice, I worked as a nanny and housekeeper for a family in W. Bloomfield for three years as well. My job job duties were managing the house along with babysitting for the youngest when the family went out of town.

Juanita was able to help out with overnight care in a pinch. She was so great with my MIL. She has a way of making the person she's caregiving for feel comfortable and as though they have invited her to be there. My MIL can be a very tough cookie, but she really enjoyed spending time with Juanita. For someone who was independent 2 weeks ago and requires 24-hour care today, that is a high bar to reach. Although we only had one 16 hour interaction with Juanita, she proved herself as being extremely honest, trustworthy and caring. She even called me after the long shift to provide a full update because my wife was there and not me. We look forward to working with Juanita again and are so thankful she was able to help us out with short notice.
