About Juanita

I have 30+ years of experience working with children including church nurseries (newborns through fifth grade,) YMCA childcare (newborns through fifth grade), in-home childcare (newborns through third grade,) and for 4 years I was a nanny for several families (newborns through kindergarten.) In 2016 I received my Newborn Care Specialist Certification through Boston Baby Nurse, where I was trained to support and guide parents in setting a feeding and sleeping schedule, provide assistance with sleep training, and assist parents to help infants and toddlers sleep through the night. I enjoy educating children with flashcards and other learning exercises, and I practice a childcare approach that involves setting limits in a practical and logical way and acknowledging accountability, respect, and worth of the child.
