About Joy

I am a professional educator recently relocated to Vegas from Los Angeles. I am a certified montessori teacher and have a bachelor's in education and master's in child psychology. I have been working with children for over 20 years. I have been a tutor and homeschool teacher over the past 4 years in LA and Vegas . I was a teacher for 10 years and owned my own school in Redondo beach for 8. I have experience with infants through teens, as well as with multiples , siblings and children with special needs . I can create a curriculum based on Nevada state standards or easily adapt to a homeschooling formate already set in place with your family. I am well versed in common core standards associated with public schools in Clark country and can assist in helping your child reach their academic potential. I enjoy teaching children through academic engagement with hands on activities, whole body learning and creating a mindset to enjoy the learning process.
