About Joy

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is my passion. As a Certified teacher with three years of experience, I believe every child learns best when provided with personalized, patient support. I assess your child's unique learning style by observing how they engage with new material and maintaining open communication about their needs. When concepts feel challenging, I break them down into manageable steps and connect lessons to real-world interests to keep engagement high. I prioritize clear, consistent communication with parents to ensure we are working as a collaborative team. The most rewarding part of my work is witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a new skill and gains newfound confidence. Whether we meet at your home, online, or a community center, I look forward to helping your student grow. I truly love helping students discover how capable they are.
