About Joy

I like working with kids because I come from a big family with 7 siblings and even more cousins. I grew up being the designated babysitter and I realized when I was younger working with kids was something I enjoyed doing. I started working with kids when I was about 8 years old. My parents would throw get togethers with my close family members and I would end up watching everyone's kids . In my spare time, I like to read, study, puzzles and hike . I'm very into anything that gets my brain thinking and my body moving One thing you should know about me is I am CPR certified, and have had prior experience with kids other than babysitting. I was a teen volunteer for the city. My skills include CPR, patient and empathy when it comes to understand children's emotions, and I'm good with managing daily routines and staying in task.
