About Joy

I have been working as an English teaching assistant in multiple elementary schools in Spain for the past 2 years. I have worked in the classroom with all ages ranging from 3-13 years old. I also have developed my own freelance tutoring business and have taught private English lessons to students aged 10-15 years old. Working abroad in a foreign language has taught me adaptability and cross-cultural communication, but most importantly patience and understanding. I also worked as a full-time nanny for two summers when I was in high school. In my personal time, I love to spend time outdoors either swimming, hiking, or camping. I really enjoy spending time with children and sharing my love for the outdoors with them. I'd describe my personality as adventurous, sociable, and responsible. I like working with kids because they remind me to not take life so seriously. They are creative and inspire me every day. I'm looking for a job that is consistent with clear expectations.
