My name is Joy. I am 45 years old. My husband is a full time pastor. We have 3 adult girls and a 2-year-old little boy. I have been doing some cleaning jobs as needed, but looking for steady work and income. I previously had a job sitting with a 93-year-old woman with dementia. I assisted her bathing, getting dressed, and going to and from the restroom. I prepared her meals, cleaned, and did laundry. I took her for walks, did paint crafts, and chair aerobics with her. I tried to make life easier and more enjoyable for her. She really seemed to appreciate my efforts. I liked the work and feel it was meaningful. Its something I would like to do again. I'm looking for a job either as a housecleaner, a sitter for the elderly or sitter for children. I am CPR, firstaid, aed certified. I've done vbs crafts for 6 years. I enjoy working with children and adults. I think I'm fun. I was a favorite with my neices. I'm an excellent cleaner as well. Can get you refences!! Willing to travel.
I highly recommend Joy as a caregiver. During the time she cared for my mother, she was consistently conscientious, dependable, and genuinely compassionate. She was always punctual and willing to help with anything my mother needed, no matter how big or small. What stood out most about Joy was her attentiveness. She didn’t simply sit and wait to be told what to do—she anticipated needs and took initiative to make sure my mother was comfortable and well cared for. She created an atmosphere that was both comforting and engaging. Joy spent time talking with my mother, interacting with her, and making sure she felt seen and included rather than just “looked after.” Her kindness, patience, and natural warmth made a real difference in my mother’s daily life. I would confidently recommend Joy to any caregiving organization or family looking for someone who is not only responsible and reliable, but who truly cares about the well-being of the people she serves
