About Joy Lyn Yarbrough

My name is Joy . I don't have years of experience in senior care, but my experience with it was such a great experience. It is now what I prefer to do. I didn't seek this job experience out. It came to me. My family started renting a home from my old highschool PE teacher. It was his childhood home. His father passed 3 years earlier and his mom was 92. They tried several retirement homes for his mom but eventually chose to turn their old pool house into a studio apartment . It was one big room except for the bathroom. It had a kitchen and couch and hospital bed all in one large room. She had a rotation of sitters who stayed with her day and night. She was never alone. I became one of her sitters. At first I was a little scared as it was a new experience and something I'd never done before. It ended up being one of my favorite job experiences. She was a wonderful person. We picked flowers from the trees she had planted. We made an arrangement for her church. I loved this job.
