Joy came to work with us in August 2021 when my daughter was four months old. I was a first time mom and preparing to return to work from maternity leave. I don't have much family in the area and was really anxious about finding someone that would feel like family and that I could trust. The added wrinkle in my daughter's care at the time was that I was exclusively breastfeeding and my daughter would not take a bottle. When Joy came to work with us, I was immediately comfortable with having her in my home and with my daughter. She was warm, compassionate, and was so good with my infant daughter. Joy did such an amazing job as a caretaker and really cared for my daughter as if she were her own. If I could keep her as a member of my family in perpetuity, I would.
