About Joy

I'd describe my personality as caring, nurturing and expressive. I like working with kids because they're learning for the first time and just need guidance. Kids can be challenging, but I love showing them that rules keep them safe in a "fun" way. I'm looking for a job that allows me to do what I love and help mold children to be the best they can be. I started working with kids when I was just a kid myself. I started baby sitting from a young age and into high school. I worked in a home based licensed center for over 10 years, worked as a substitute teacher for 3 years and most recently worked as a lead teacher at Sunshine House. In my spare time, I like to read, cook, spend time with family and event decorating. One thing you should know about me is that I am dedicated to the enrichment of children. I believe they're our future, so it's a duty to sow into them. My skills include structured routine management, engaging educational play and multitasking/organization.
