About Joyce

I'm a medical student with a degree in Biology from Cornell University, minoring in child psychology. I currently am located in Germantown, MD. I have several years of experience working with children ages 4-15 as a tutor/instructor in math, English, science, and piano. I have worked as a tutor in English, math, and the SAT/ACT for Kumon Rockville West as well as a college teaching assistant in physics, calculus, and biology for years. I have a deep interest in developing learning strategies and helping people enjoy the learning process. I've worked as a medical assistant in primary care, where I cared for babies and children of all ages and personalities. I'm BLS- and CPR-certified. I have reliable transportation and pride myself on being patient, organized, engaging, and dependable.
