Hello and thank you for taking the time to read a little more about me. I am a mother of three adult children and Grandmother of two. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have my CDA in Early Childhood Education and have been an early childhood educator for over 20 years. I have been a lead infant teacher at a reputable private school for nearly seven years. I have taught ages 6weeks to 4 years of age. The current family I nanny for full time had a 7-month-old and 8-year-old. I am seeking part time baby sitting opportunities and am available for overnights. I have many years experience with twins and multiples as well. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
We were incredibly fortunate to have Joyce as our nanny for over two years. She cared for our son from the time he was 3 months old until he was 2.5 years old, and she also cared for our daughter during the first 4 months of her life before both children transitioned to daycare. Joyce has an extensive background in infant and early childhood care, including prior experience at Primrose and Goddard, and it truly shows in the way she works with children. She is extremely knowledgeable about early childhood development and was wonderful at helping us establish structure and routines, including everything from sleep schedules and feeding routines to introducing solids and creating developmentally appropriate activities as our children grew. She was especially helpful in guiding age-appropriate milestones, food introduction, and day-to-day consistency, and she brought a calm, capable presence to our home. One thing we especially appreciated was how thorough and organized she was with communication. She consistently provided daily check-ins with photo updates of the kids, along with a written log at the end of each day detailing feedings, meals, diaper changes, naps, and activities, which was incredibly helpful. Joyce also brought so much warmth and joy to our home. She loves to sing and engage with children through music, and being around her often felt like having a real-life Ms. Rachel in the house. She has a fun, engaging way of interacting with kids that makes learning and everyday routines feel exciting and natural. She is also extremely dependable and punctual. In the entire time she nannied for us, she was never late. We are very grateful for the care she provided to our family and would absolutely recommend her to another family looking for someone with strong infant and toddler experience, early childhood knowledge, and a thoughtful, structured approach to childcare.
