About Joyce

I'd describe my personality as friendly, kind, flexible I like tutoring because I love to teach! Tutoring allows me to teach without the pressure of "all the other stuff. " I can reinforce skills, teach critical thinking, as well as address social/emotional needs as needed. I'm looking for a job that is steady, allows me to be creative, and can be done either in person or online. I started tutoring when my kids were old enough to be independent. I've been tutoring for 15 years. In my spare time, I like to read, relax, and spend time with friends and family. One thing you should know about me is I will not give up when a student is having an especially difficult time. I'll teach the same skill a hundred different ways until I'm sure they have it down pat. My skills include patience, teaching students how to learn, and determination.
