Along with 35+ years of general childcare experience, I have experience working with children/adults with special needs. I currently am employed with my local schools as a teaching assistant. I accompany a student who has a diagnosis of autism. I worked in our developmental preschool as an assistant for three years prior to my current position. Our students had varying delays and differing physical support needs. I have previous in-home care experience as a companion/caregiver for adults with developmental delays. My availability is dictated by my families needs and the days/hours worked in my school position. I am willing to learn new skills and renew certifications as required by the position.
