I have worked nine years in caring for an elderly lady in her home. In the past two years her care included aspects of diagnosis dementia, Parkinson's and eventually Alzheimer's. I was with her until she passed. Before and some during my employment in the last nine years I also worked with persons with disabilities for a company providing these community services for 14 plus years. In addition, during the aforementioned years I served several elderly persons providing housekeeping in their homes. I have found over the years that the people I've served have won my heart and have given me a purpose in going to work each day.
