About Joy

Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With 10 years of experience as a Certified Teacher, I specialize in English and Special Education for elementary students. I believe every child learns differently, so I prioritize active listening and open communication to tailor my methods to your child's unique needs. By breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and connecting lessons to real-world interests, I foster both academic growth and a genuine love for learning. I am deeply committed to building critical thinking skills and celebrating every "aha!" moment along the way. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or online, I look forward to building a supportive partnership with your family. I am truly passionate about helping your child gain the confidence they need to succeed both in the classroom and beyond.
