My caregiving experience was developed through providing home hospice care for my late mother during the final stages of her life after an extended battle with breast cancer. In this role, I delivered compassionate and attentive personal care, including toileting assistance, meal planning and food preparation, grooming support, safe transportation, medication scheduling, and medication accountability. Although I was not formally employed as a licensed caregiver, I quickly learned best practices, safety protocols, and the importance of professionalism, confidentiality, transparency, and dependable care. As a former active-duty U. S. Army veteran, I also bring valuable training in CPR, rescue breathing, emergency response, and treatment of cold- and heat-related injuries. My background has strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, follow care plans, maintain dignity and respect for clients, and provide reliable, patient-centered support to individuals and families.
