About Joseph

I am here because I am looking to dive deeper into elder care at a time in my life when I want to be doing mission-driven work. My experience with elder care is not extensive or lengthy, but my heart is in it. I recently spent several weeks back home helping my parents after mom had her knee replaced, and have also been doing volunteer work driving seniors to errands and appointments. Depending on how this lighter, entry-level work goes, I may get certified in senior care. I am compassionate, detail oriented, and friendly, and I like caring for seniors because my parents are aging, and I am in tune with the challenges they face. I enjoy helping seniors retain as much autonomy as possible, and enabling them to stay as independent as they wish. In my spare time, I like to read, be outside, play guitar, and visit with friends. My skills include driving seniors to errands and appointments, helping with light household chores and repairs. I am also CPR and First-Aid certified.
