I have worked in the Home Health Care field for 7 years. I have worked with individuals with several mental disorders such as bi-polar disorder, borderline-personality disorder, Schizophrenia, Autism, and panic disorders. My role was to assist these individuals with everyday tasks. I assisted with running errands, transportation to medical appointments, financial management(bills, spending habits, etc), and state-related recertifications, benefits, and additional resources. What I have found is that there are multiple ways to get life goals accomplished. Seeing a client achieve goals, previously thought as unachievable, is truly a rewarding experience.
