I'd describe my personality as warm, creative, and dynamic. I like working with kids because they make me laugh and they remind me of how interesting the world is. I started working with kids when I had kids of my own. In order to stay with my kids at home, I started a daycare and ran it for 8 years. I also worked as an art teacher in a film school teaching developmentally disabled children for 10 years after that. In my spare time, I like to garden, read, experience art, hike, travel, make costumes, and hang out with my friends and family. One thing you should know about me is that I believe in being firm, fair and consistent and that I also love to have fun!

Jo has cared for our 9 and 6 year old since they were infants. She is incredibly warm and loving, and our kids adore her sense of humor and the way she listens to them and plays with them. They have a blast together every time she careds for them and Jo always includes them in projects like gardening, cooking, artwork or shopping. She slows down and teaches them carefully while maintaining a very fun and jovial environment. Notably, she also listens to our children as if their words and thoughts are extremely important to her (and they are!). It is heartwarming for us to see as parents, and my kids just adore her. When they were infants she sang to our children, danced with them, and gave them her full attention always. She is not the type of caregiver to constantly be checking her phone - she will give her full attention to the children she is with. I am thrilled to have found her and trust her completely.
