About Jordyn

Hi! My name is Jordyn I am in my late 20s and I am an experienced child care giver. I have been working with children in some capacity since I was 16. My first job was as a lifeguard and water safety instructor which I did for 5 years. In college I was a live-in nanny for a family on Long Island, NY where one of my primary tasks was supervising the children (ages 5-12) daily at the beach/ocean front. I have had training and experience in first aid and water safety. Since then I have been an assistant coach and substitute teacher for the school district. I am currently considering pursuing a 2nd degree, this time in elementary education. I'm looking for a job where the parents are responsible, involved and trustworthy. I am looking for a position that is 20-35hrs / week from June - July. In my spare time, I enjoy running, swimming, hiking, traveling, gardening and going out to try new restaurants. I am also a volunteer coach for our local YMCA/Girls on the Run program.
