I have been around people with special needs and learning disabilities since I was young. I have aided in classrooms with special needs children of all ages ranging from elementary to high school. I currently work part time as an occupational therapy assistant and have been in a variety of settings including in the home, schools, and within living facilities. I have helped a number of families in the past with teens, young adults, and older-adults/seniors ranging in both physical and cognitive ability level as well as some experience working with dementia and Alzheimer's.
