About Jorden

I'd describe my personality as calm, collected, and direct. I believe that children should be treated on an individual level based on maturity. I enjoy helping kids learn through examples, explanations, and conversations. I like tutoring because I am able to witness the process of learning. When a student understands a concept once and for all after moments of struggle, it is a beautiful thing. I enjoy giving kids the platform to indulge in their intelligence and curiosities. "Yes, I'd love to hear about that new thing you learned in class. And yes I'd love to help you apply those concepts to the real-world." In my spare time, I like to read, work on my crafts (woodworking, ceramics, knitting), and visit new places (botanical gardens, jazz clubs, architecture lectures).
