About Joliana

I am an educator with a strong background in supporting students academically and personally. Over the past eight years, I've worked with children and teens in various educational roles, including tutoring, classroom support, and individualized instruction. I hold a BA in Psychology from CSUDH & am currently finishing up my Master's program in Educational and Clinical Counseling PPS, LPCC at APU As part of my graduate training, I serve as a school counseling intern at an school in Irvine, where I assist students with academic skills, social-emotional development, and goal setting. I also work as a substitute teacher for Irvine Unified and have previously supported special education students for five years as an Instructional Assistant. My tutoring approach is patient, engaging, & adapted to each student's unique learning style. I have experience helping students from early elementary through high school in areas such as reading, writing, math, organization, and study strategies.
