Jolanta worked for a year and a half  with my 86 year old father in Glencoe, who suffers from Parkinson's. Jolanta is extremely compassionate and reliable. She was a great companion for my father and quickly formed a bond with him. She also helped with medication management, exercises, bathing and grooming, as well as with cooking, light housework, laundry and transportation to and from his appointments. Jolanta is an animal lover and also helped take his large golden doodle for walks. She is extremely honest and very reliable. She is became a part of our family. To Whom It May Concern,

Jola was employed by me from October 2011 through March 2012.  I employed her to assist me with my elderly Mother whose health was failing. As it turned out however, Jola not only had my Mother to care for but myself as well.  I became immobile due to a needed total hip replacement.

Jola was an incredibly capable and trustworthy caregiver.  She managed the responsibilities of caregiving, meal preparation, laundry and housekeeping.  My Mother was not in favor of having anyone in the home but Jola won her trust and dealt with her cantankerous behavior with a calm and gentle manner.  She took her to physical therapy, the hair salon and grocery trips.  She was a good driver and I never worried about her handling my Mom without my presence.  Because she was helping me during the holidays, she pitched in to help me with decorating my home and frankly without her we would have had to forgo Christmas.  Jola was always punctual and I never had to ask her for additional hours, she was totally available to meet my needs.  I started initially to have Jola three (3) days a week.  Once I went for surgery in January, she took on the caregiving for my Mother on a 24/7 basis until I finished with rehabilitation which took approximately three weeks.  She brought my Mom to visit me almost every day and during that time, she was completely responsible for my home and my Mother.  She did an excellent job!

My reason for discontinuing Jola's assistance was simply that I had regained my mobility and my Mother improved to the point that I was able to manage her alone.  I could not justify keeping Jola and she as well needed full time employment.  We had become friends and had I been able to keep her on, I most definitely would have.  Since that time, I have remained in contact with Jola and unfortunately when my Mom's health took a big turn for the worse, Jola had already taken another job.  I finally had to hire two caregivers to take the place of Jola and I more than realized just how wonderful she had been.  She endeared herself not only to me but also my grown children. Infact she took time from her job to come to my Mom's funeral.  It was obvious that she was sincerely upset to learn of her death. We truly felt like she was family.

Since that time in 2012, I have remained in touch with Jola and enjoy catching up with her.  Should you be lucky enough to hire her, you too will realize that she is a gem.  In the world today, one of the most difficult things is to find someone you can entrust the care of a loved one.  Jola is just that person and should I find myself in that position again, I would hope that she would be available so I could rehire her.

Jola was fabulous.  She went above and beyond on numerous occasions.  I have written a reference for her and would recommend her without hesitation.

When my mother was 89 years old, it became apparent that she could no longer safely 
live alone. She was reluctant to give up the home she had lived in for over 50 years so 
we began to look for a live-in care giver. We were blessed when a home-health nurse 
recommended Jolanta "Jola"  to us. 

Jola began caring for my mother two years ago. Her duties included assisting my 
mother as needed with dressing, changes and her activities of daily living such as 
bathing, meal preparation, and transportation to the store, doctor appointments, etc. As 
a healthcare provider, I am well aware of the difference between good care and great 
care. Jola provided my mother with exceptional care. In the two years she cared for 
my mother, my mother did not have any falls at home. Prior to Jola's arrival, she would 
fall at least one to two times a month. 

Though her body was weak, my mother's mind was very sharp. She was a particular 
person and set in her ways. Jola was extremely patient, flexible and compassionate when she cared for my mother and as a result they developed a great fondness for each other.  Jola's dedication to my mother made her like one of our family. 

When my mother's beloved cat, Foogi, became ill and required daily subcutaneous infusions, Jola did not bat an eye. She gladly took on the task. My mother was so appreciative. Eventually my mother asked Jola to adopt Foogi should anything happen to her. Sadly, my mother passed away at the end of March, 2014. Jola was with the immediate family for all of her services. 

Jola is a fabulous care giver. She has all the qualities one would look for in a care provider - compassion, dedication and quality care. I recommend her without hesitation as I believe she will be an asset to anyone who hires her.
