About Joie

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With one year of experience, I specialize in Math, English, History, and Study Skills for elementary and middle school students. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, and my goal is to foster a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I assess your learning style through active observation and adapt my methods using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. When concepts feel difficult, I connect them to your personal interests to keep you engaged. I prioritize open communication with families to ensure we are always aligned on your progress. Nothing is more rewarding than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a complex idea finally clicks. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and helping you build the confidence you need to succeed.
