About Joia

Hi, my name is Joia! I am in my 30s and a mother to an amazing 11-year-old. I got my first childcare job at age 18 as an infant teacher in Boston. I received my infant, toddler, and preschool certifications through the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC.) In 2020 I began to nanny while in school myself. I worked for a family with one kindergartener and held group sessions of remote schooling in their home. I since completed my bachelor's degree in dental hygiene and went on to work at a family dental practice because I simply love kids and couldn't imagine my work not involving them--kids are my favorite patients! I recently relocated with my family from Boston to Bellevue and am looking forward to connecting with families in the area while pursuing part time dental work. My availability right now is very open so please feel free to reach out with any and all requests! I would like to keep up with occasional/regular babysitting in the future.
