About John Paul

Hi there! I'm John, for the past five years I have coached rock climbing for all ages, and have both worked at and recently ran the summer camp at our local rock climbing gym. Through my experience working with children of all ages as well as children with special needs there, I have had an incredibly well rounded experience teaching and caring for children. I'm looking for a job that gives me opportunities to grow, one that challenges me, and one that prioritizes connection over service. My skills include building a rapport with kids while still maintaining their respect for me. This took a long time to find the balance for, but I'm very good at making conversation with kids, which I've found is one of the key components to getting them to like you, while still being able to get them to listen and understand why they should listen. Additionally, I'm very good at both finding ideas for and being involved with play.
