About John

I grew up in a rural town outside Memphis, Tennessee until my family moved to Memphis, where I graduated private Catholic high school with honors, competing in rugby and a couple of theatrical productions. Upon graduation, I moved to Los Angeles where I graduated from college. In my spare time there, I worked various script reading internships at production companies from A Band Apart, the Donners' company, 20th Century FOX, and Warner Bros. I managed a legendary video rental store on the West Side that was next to the second oldest operating theatre in the city, where I also worked for 2 years! Under my tenure, it achieved a city-registered legacy business and moved from the red to the black. I'm a big reader, volunteered at day cares and tutored kids growing up, and I'm currently completing competency exams to be a history teacher.
