About John

I'm a senior at the University of Rochester with six years of experience (5 years paid experience) working with children in a variety of settings, including summer camps, reading tutoring, and volunteering in a children's hospital and in the classroom. I'm a chemistry major, studying on the pre-med track with the goal of becoming a pediatrician. I do research at Golisano Children's Hospital toward improving maternal-child health! I've spent the past two summers as a personal care aide & camp counselor for youth aged 7-16 with severe physical disabilities, handling all care needs 24/7, including toileting, feeding, bathing, and transferring. This work was done at the Southampton Fresh Air Home (SFAH. org).
