Hello, Families! I am relocating to the Kissimmee area in June and am beginning to look for long term roles. I have two degrees in special education and was a special educator for 22 years. My teaching experience is with children birth to 21 with significant multiple disabilities and/or blindness/visual impairment. I am highly skilled at building assessment- and data-driven educational programs that focus on a child's strengths, no matter how severe the disability. I am trained in active learning, a teaching approach for learners with severe/profound disabilities. I am also fluent in literary UEB (Unified English Braille) and provide individualized instruction or tutoring in braille, independent living skills, recreation skills, and self-advocacy skills for learners with blindness/low vision.
