Hello, Families! I am a former special educator with 25+ years experience working with children who have severe special needs. I live in Maine but will be relocating to Raleigh in the next 5 months. I'd like to begin connecting with families in need of in-home care for a child with multiple disabilities (non-disabled siblings welcome!). I'm interested in f/t nannying, p/t with multiple families, or as needed care for date nights or occasional respite. Household management positions also welcome. Working with the most significantly disabled children is truly my passion and I'm happy I can offer in-home care for families who often struggle to find care or respite for their child. I am skilled and comfortable with lifting and transfers; adaptive positioning, feeding, and bracing; nonverbal communicators and AAC; incontinence at any age; and g-tubes and seizures.
