About Johana

Hello, I'm Johana and I'm a junior in nursing school. I have really strong skills in math and science (specifically chemistry and biology). I can also teach violin. I've taught violin for 4 years to children who were 10-13 years old. I've been an anatomy preceptor for 2 semesters in my university, meaning I have experience teaching college-age students as well. I like tutoring because I'm passionate about what I love and I understand the struggles when it comes to learning. I want to be there to help mentor/guide other struggle students who are taking my same path and make their struggle easier, more retainable, and entertaining. I started tutoring when I was a junior in high school. I specifically began teaching violin. I have 11+ years of experience and I love the violin. I believe that playing an instrument helps develop a child's mind and grows a passion and understanding of music. My skills include having fun, adapting to a child's learning needs, and problem-solving.
