Joe was fabulous caretaker for my grandfather who was diagnosed with cancer. He drove him to all of his appointments, stayed with him through treatment, and communicated with the Doctors. He was constantly by his side when he was scared, experiencing side effects from the chemo, couldn't sleep-even spending many nights sleeping at his house to help get him through that terrible time. Not only was he a remarkable companion, he also utilized his knowledge and experience in fitness to develop a personalized exercise program to make him stronger and increase his mobility. It was a challenge, my grandfather also has Parkinson's, however Joe always found the best balance.
