About Joel

I recently changed careers and just finished my associates degree in nursing. I would like to use this time to work as a caregiver and utilize some of the skills that I have obtained working towards my nursing degree while I prepare for my licensure examination. My grandfather suffered dementia and I was his primary caregiver during those years in which he struggled. I have also been employed as the caregiver for a gentleman who suffered from a brain tumor and was totally paralyzed, requiring total care. I think it is important to spend time with our elders, to hear them and understand who they are and the lives that they have lived. Respect means everything, and I do care. Part of my clinical rotations were spent in Local nursing-facilities. I found that I did well in this environment and that the residents enjoyed their time spent with me. I am happy to do whatever I can to help and make their lives a little brighter and easier! Thank you for reading and I wish you the best!
