About Joelle

I am a retired flight attendant of 30 years, and have spent the last 8 years as a companion/caregiver. I actually took an early retirement to take care of my own Grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's. As a result I have a lot of experience in dealing with all stages of this disease. Since then I have worked for 4 other families, Staying with each family for almost 2 years. I have experience in all types of Elder Care, from companionship only, accompanying on errands, outings, to full time hands on care. With two of the families I started out as a Companion only, but found myself spending more and more time with the client as their needs changed. Being retired my schedule is very flexible, and I can make myself available on short notice if needed. I have a special place in my heart for the elderly as well as an abundance of patience and compassion. I have had an interesting career with the airlines, traveled extensively, am well educated, and would make a good Companion for clients that are more alert. Although this is my second career, I have found that I have an affinity for elder care, and really do enjoy the work.
