My entire life I have been involved in healthcare. I was born with foot deformities. Also, I had a serious infection & wound last year. I realized quickly the demand for caretakers is much higher than the supply. I decided to start caretaking a few years ago. I have experience with bathing / personal hygiene, mobility assistance, feeding, giving medicine, transportation & companionship. My favorite part is companionship. I like to learn about how personal experiences help shape a person. Everyone has a story & I ask a lot of questions. The combination of having your family member talk outloud, and my active listening creates a powerful emotional, mental & cognitive growth opportunity. Families' feedback is that I have positive energy & am strong at communicating. I ask that we have a feedback discussion early on where we can share openly, honestly on what's not working and recommendations on improvement. Family members can't take on the burden all the time so let me help you!
