I am a mother of a 16-year-old son. I worked for 20 years in a nursing home as a recreational therapist and then eventually the department head. I stopped working at the nursing home to be around more for my son. For the past 6 years I have cared for a now 5-year-old and 9-year-old. My previous career as a recreational therapist basically was that I got to have fun, make people laugh and keep them occupied for a living. I have also been providing home care to elderly clients.
